During this unprecedented time, South Central’s Emergency Department is taking a lead in the region in regard to screening and testing those who may have symptoms of the Coronavirus including: Fever of 100.4 or greater and Respiratory symptoms such as a cough or difficulty breathing, and tightness in the chest. Older people, and people with chronic medical conditions such as: Asthma, Diabetes and Heart disease may be more vulnerable to becoming severely ill.

The South Central Emergency Department is continuing to use CDC guidelines when testing patients. As always, we continue to care for patients with life threatening conditions including heart attacks, stroke, and other emergent conditions.
